Job description
The Careers Team at Lancaster University are looking to hire a Graduate Recruitment Assessment Preparation Tutor, to help them develop a number of projects to support students from under-represented groups in higher education to progress into positive graduate destinations.
The job will focus on supporting students practice and prepare for the psychometric tests, games-based assessments and situational judgement tests that they may encounter during the recruitment and selection exercises for internship, placement and graduate roles.
This will include encouraging students to use the resources available on the Careers website at: https://portal.lancaster.ac.uk/ask/careers/applications-interviews/strategies-for-psychometric-tests – and creating new resources for this page.
This is a really rewarding role, supporting students to tackle challenges, and help them build confidence and strategies for success.
Students from under-represented groups in Higher Education, will be given priority access to the service, provided by the Graduate Recruitment Assessment Preparation Tutor, and the role will sit within the GROW Your Future Team - https://portal.lancaster.ac.uk/ask/grow-your-future/.
We are looking for a commitment of 7 hours per week, term time only (20 weeks), ideally starting the week of 9th October and finishing on the 22nd March, with 4 weeks off over the Christmas Vacation period. The 7 hours can be worked on one day, or spread across multiple days.
