Position Reports To: Production Manager and HR

We are looking for a Production Operative to help support our Production Team at our UK base in Brightlingsea. We will provide full, hands on, on the job training. You will be part of our successful, hard-working team in a fun, friendly supportive environment.

Job role
Production Operator, your job is to manufacture products for our customers to the required quality standard and on time. By following and understanding work instructions, achieving targets and producing a high standard of work. Your job will include machine operating, assembly, preparation of cables, soldering and anything else required.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of product quality and compliance.
- Get your first item checked with QC before going forward with any new job.
- Follow work instructions.
- Ask for any extra personal training.
- Ensure you are at your workstation at your contracted start time and work until your contracted finishing time.
- Adhere to your break and lunch times.
- Follow the correct absence procedure.
- Book your holidays in a timely manner.
- Report any issues to your Senior Operator/Team Leader.
Improving Efficiency and Productivity
- Achieve targets. (Quality and Productivity)
- Identify process improvements and escalate to supervisor/ manager.
- Check you have the right tools.
- Check your equipment is calibrated.
- Identify products clearly by keeping them clearly segregated.
- Ensure non-conforming material is labelled and ready to be rejected to stores every day.
Working Safely
- Ensure your work area is clean and tidy.
- Report any accidents or illness to your supervisor/ manager.
- Use the correct Personal Protective Equipment where required.
Job Types: Full-time, permanent Contract
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm
- Friday 8am-4:30pm
- Overtime available during busy periods
