Based in Sunderland the Haskel Hydrogen Refuelling team requires an experienced Production Manager to lead the onsite Production activities.

We are looking for a precision-focused professional with highly developed leadership qualities and the ability to work efficiently and within time and cost budget.

The successful candidate’s primary function will be the daily management of the production department, supporting the Team Leads and driving on time delivery of Hydrogen projects.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to, and support continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
• Focus on identifying and driving cost down activities.
• Ensure manufacturing meets its shipping targets by adhering to the master plan and driving task completion.
• Create, monitor and achieve KPI’s & KPI Targets
• Be an operational champion, supporting QEHS with cross-departmental RCA meetings to ensure buy-in, collaboration and cohesion.

Key Competencies:

• Manufacturing/Production Engineering background
• A proactive change leader and possess leadership skills to build and maintain a team oriented environment
• Ability to engage workforce when driving improvements
• Flexible, decisive and proactive problem solver.
• Able to work well in high pressure, fast-paced environment.
• A professional, clear, concise and positive communicator with proven interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and motivate to support team building while achieving results.

Qualifications:

• Min HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline
• Preferably Bachelor degree in and Engineering discipline
• Min of 5 years experience in an operational management role
