Role – Assembly production engineer
Location – Close to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Working hours – Working hours – Rotating shifts – 6am – 6pm
Week 1 – Sunday to Wednesday, Week 2 – Sunday to Tuesday.
Week 1 – Wednesday to Saturday, Week 2 Thursday to Saturday.
Salary – between £30,000 – £40,000 per annum + shift incentive
Capacity of role – Permanent position.
Our client who is a leading manufacturer in the local area is currently recruiting for an assembly production engineer to join their busy workshop team
Main duties will include –
To assist the workshop in getting products out accordingly to customer requirements
To investigate and offer suggestions for process improvements and/ or cost reductions
Assisting in running assembly machines to ensure productivity is fulfilled.
Training new staffing and progression training of existing staffing
Diagnose faults and repairing assembly based machines
Complete and update tasks using inhouse system
Aiding engineers from other areas as and when required
Candidate attributes –
ü Will have working experience is using a range of tool room/ workshop-based machinery.
ü Ideally 10+ years working experience within production assembly equipment
ü Candidates will need to be used to shift patterns (as stated above)
ü Applicants ideally will have a good mechanical aptitude and be able to diagnose faults associated with quality and machines
ü Will ideally be familiar with ISO9001:2015 Practises
ü An immediate start could be offered for the right calibre of candidates.
