Job description
Salary: £28,000- £31,000
Location: Hybrid working, home and office based (Southwark and Beddington Lane Croydon)
Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

Excellent organisational skills to support the Asset Operations team in performing their operational tasks along with the gathering of network intelligence to assist in the delivery of a safe & reliable network. You’ll also be responsible for updating systems, processing data, tracking work orders, monitoring performance data and collating customer correspondence.
Surface Transport operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, so you need to be prepared to work outside of core office hours on an exceptional basis by mutual agreement. In these instances Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be applicable.
Key Accountabilities
Support the delivery and management of inspections by keeping accurate records alongside reporting requirements.
Responsible for entering, collecting and the collation of data relating to safety, quality, finance, correspondence, performance and delivery of operational works.
Assist in checking the accuracy and completeness of asset inventory data and reports produced by the team to ensure consistency and required standards are being met.
Responsible for providing, receiving, checking and ultimately the storing of documents relating to operating activities including licensing, third party claims, enforcement notices and asset testing.
Arrange, administer and assist in the preparation and running of team meetings, presentations and the dissemination of information to all teams in asset operations.
Assist in the smooth day to day running of the area Asset Operations team including maintaining and updating team H&S requirements, PPE & stationary requirements
Carries out administrative duties relating to updating systems and processing of data and work orders ensuring all tasks are completely in a timely manner and are to the highest standard.
The team lead for all customer enquiries management for their area and work with the Delivery Team and the Customer Services department to maintain high levels of service.
Track, record and manage all team escalations to solution.

Knowledge
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and / or qualification in a highways/asset management related subject (Desirable)
- Basic knowledge of London Wide Surface Transport Network (Desirable)
- Understanding of asset management systems or another relational database (Essential)
Experience
- Previous administrative experience, including minute taking and subsequent production of notes/reports. (Essential)
- Experience of a range of business systems. (Desirable)
- Experience of stakeholder engagement, internal and external. (Essential)
- Experience of working in a high pace, high pressure operational environment. (Essential)
