What does the role look like?
We are recruiting a number of Production Control roles across our Actuation Systems business in Wolverhampton due to continued growth. These roles will manage the release and kitting of parts and involve looking at material stocks and highlighting where there may be issues with supply that would stop us from releasing on time and delivering to the customer.
Located across both OE & our Aftermarket business units, we're looking to match your experience to the role to find the perfect fit! Below is a summary of the responsibilities of the roles but each role will be slightly different.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
- Run and maintain the COOIS report to understand what can be released. Raise issues with shortages at the LOB meetings with Supply Chain
- Release orders on time. Carry out checks on paperwork to ensure revisions match drawings and process plans
- Support kitting of jobs to ensure arrive to the section on time to start machining
- Raise part shortages as soon as they are identified. Follow through to achieve a suitable resolution
- Support The Operations Manager with commitment dates for the value streams customers
- Help the Production Control team with issues that arise at Final View. Support with resolutions that allow product to be moved on to the customer
- Help to improve and maintain the value Streams On-Time Delivery Metric
What will you bring to the role?
Essential:
- A basic knowledge or/and understanding of SAP and Excel
- Previous experience in a supply chain or Purchasing environment, ideally in industrial manufacturing
Desirable:
- Experience in dealing with people so that you can achieve your targets and goals
- Good Organisational Skills
- Knowledge of Aerospace processes and procedures and understanding the critical nature of the components
- Good Communication skills at differing levels of seniority
