ROLE
The role can essentially be split into 3 parts; Employee expenses claims, Supplier and Customer Invoices.
Sales Ledger:
Providing a premium service to our customers. Responsibility for raising, checking and issuing of sales invoices, as part of larger team. If necessary, following up on unpaid invoices, actively communicating with customers and our project managers, to ensure the invoices are paid promptly. Running month-end reports for sales team and maintaining sales invoice tracker.
Purchase Ledger:
Providing a quality service to our internal and external customers and providing support in covering other key processing areas in the Accounts Payable team. Full accountability for checking and processing of incoming expenses in line with company policy, dealing with employee queries in a timely manner and periodically reviewing the expense ledger.
Expenses:
Preparing Credit card expenses and checking submitted cash and card expenses from our employees. Handling questions and queries regarding expenses, company policy and payments. Dealing with queries from employees, by email, Teams, or face to face.
Checking claims are in line with company policy and do not conflict with other payments and highlight any anomalies or suspicious entries. Checking: authorisation, calculations, receipts, mileage, coding to correct cost centres and calculating VAT to be reclaimed.

- Provide cover and support for other members of the account’s team.
- Preparation and bank inputs to allow prompt payment of invoices.
- Reconciliation of accounts related to customers and suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 years accounts experience in a finance department.
- Must have: AAT Qualification or part qualified ACCA or Cima
- Strong numerical and excel skills.
- Good communication skills with both finance and non-finance colleagues
- Highly organised and work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- A team worker, trustworthy to deal with confidential and sensitive information and confidence in using IT systems and customer portals.
