As a part of a larger international corporation, our company is involved in design and manufacturing of night vision and infrared imaging equipment.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a Production Assistant to join our busy Production team.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with other members of the multi-functional Production team and undertake work on variety products with the common goal of delivering high quality product.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties of this role include, but are not limited to, a mix of calibration and product testing in accordance with company specifications to achieve monthly production output targets.
The role will also involve:
- Understand and follow detailed work instructions relating to the quality tests of products
- Perform quality tests to a consistently high level of accuracy
- Ensure that all operations are completed to the required specifications, quality standards and to the required timescale
- Ensure the workshop and warehouse areas are clean, tidy and orderly at all times
- Unloading cargoes
- Various household maintenance on production warehouses and workshops
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Good hand and eye co-ordination is required during all quality testing and inspection work
- Excellent organisation skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Computer literate
- Previous experience in some form of similar work would be desirable
This position may be attractive to an individual with a technical mind and attention to detail. While previous experience in this area would be advantageous, applications are also invited from candidates without previous experience in optoelectronics, but who welcome a technical challenge.
Full training will be provided for this role, candidates who successful during the first round of interviews will be invited to an assessment day to go through an instruction-based manufacturing test.
