A rare opportunity has arisen for a Materials Scheduler/Administrator to join our team at Wisbech. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong administration background looking to step into Materials Scheduling. You will be provided with full training and support. We are looking for someone with drive and determination that wants to start/continue their career within FMCG.

This is an exciting time to join our business as it continues to grow and evolve following recent investment. This is an opportunity to work for one of the UK’s leading FMCG Food and Drink Manufacturer boasting an impressive portfolio of brands such as Napolina, Mazola and Jucee.

Wisbech is home to our food production site in Cambridgeshire. It is where we produce our canned products including baked beans, soups, pulses, pasta, vegetables and sauces. One of the brands we produce in Wisbech is the well-known household brand Crosse & Blackwell. Its range includes soups, children’s meals, vegetables and cooking sauces. The site is also a major purchaser of locally-grown produce and ingredients from the British countryside.

Please note this is an initial 12 months Fixed Term Contract - however we are looking for people that want to impress and we could consider them for future positions within the business if successful.

Hours
Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 17.00 and Fridays 08.00 – 15.00

Job Purpose

  • To schedule delivery of appropriate quantities of materials to meet production requirements whilst maintaining target stock levels through efficient scheduling.
  • You will generate reports to manage portfolio to optimum stock level while maintaining keen obsolescence management.
  • Work with stakeholders and all relevant business partners to ensure full understanding of expectations in both directions. Ensure business priorities are reflected in portfolio management. Provide all relevant information for delists, recipe amends and new business via relevant mediums including; email, telephone conference, video conference, supplier visits.
  • Ensure overall business objectives are met.
  • Ensure material plans meet budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure all cost risks are flagged early to ensure resolution can be made avoiding negative impact
  • Ensure vendor performance requirements are covered via blocked stock, delivery non-conformance and vendor management
  • Nature of position requires a logical and diligent individual to provide a comprehensive service to the factory. Strength of character is a pre-requisite in expediting orders and dealing with suppliers, buyers, internal and external stakeholders

Dimensions

  • 1400 live items shared by the team
  • Based in Wisbech but could be a need to work out of or attend Long Sutton site
  • Support the 7 production lines

Experience/Skills

  • Good, clear, accurate communicator
  • Able to influence for best overall outcome
  • Good skills in planning, organising, prioritising, appropriate escalation ability
  • Ability to work with people at all levels within a business
  • Can be creative identifying solutions or to working with others
  • Not necessary but would be advantageous to have;
  • Knowledge and experience of fundamental supply chain material management processes, material requirements planning and inventory management;
  • Experience of working within a Sales & Operation Planning driven organisation;
  • Good level of business awareness, allowing for conflicting priorities to be understood, managed or escalated
  • Good knowledge of SAP ECC
