MacDermid Graphics Solutions is a supplier of consumable materials used to transfer images on to consumer packaging materials, our products are used to improve print quality and printing productivity. We produce and market photopolymers through an extensive line of flexographic plates that are used in the consumer packaging and printing industries. Photopolymers are molecules that change properties upon exposure to light.

Job Purpose
Support in the investigation and reporting of customer complaints and implementation of corrective actions.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations in to both internal non-conformances and customer complaints using quality investigation tools such as 8D, Ishikawa/Fishbone, 5Why etc. leading smalls cross-functional teams, as appropriate. Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions within the defined timescale. Ensure the highest health and safety standards are maintained.
- Investigate assigned customer complaints within defined timescales, with effective customer communication.
- Identify and highlight internal non-conformance events, ensuring that the appropriate immediate action is taken e.g. product containment.
- Provide support for complaints in all areas of the business, FIM, Industrial and Graphics. Developing knowledge in those product areas to complete wide-ranging complaint investigations as part of a multi-functional team.
- Provide customer specific 8D reports within timeframes aligned to departmental targets.
- Support discussion on complaint progress internally as part of regular complaints review meetings.
- Within limits of expertise provide technical support to production teams, acting as ‘voice of the customer’ and escalating to Senior Product Quality Engineer where appropriate.
- Support production trials relating to complaint root cause analysis investigations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Graduate level in Science or Engineering discipline, or relevant industrial experience within a quality role OR one or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Quality experienced and with the tenacity to gain support from others.
- Industrial experience in process industry.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and skillful negotiator.
- Good IT skills.
- High level of literacy to support the production of good quality customer complaint reports.
- Ability to prepare and present information effectively to cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Totally customer focused.
- Flexible in approach to work and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
