This is an exciting role to join a rapidly growing fashion brand named ‘Sandbanks' working within a small team at a HQ in Poole, Dorset reporting to Directors on a daily basis.

Sandbanks is a high-end, sustainable fashion brand with clothing manufactured from recycled and organic materials in Europe with the ambition of becoming a global brand.

About the Role

You will work closely within the creative team to produce content for social media and the brand website, this will include; photographing garments, accessories, models and editing images in an ever changing workload that involves creating a high standard of content.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to show our amazing products in the best possible way online via photography with the goal of increasing sales online.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • E-commerce photography of the daily products that arrive in the studio - Confidently photographing garments and accessories on mannequins, models, and flat beds which will be used on social media and the website that include samples and production pieces.
  • Post production of images.
  • Conceptualising creative content ideas for our website and social media platforms this includes; researching competitors, brainstorming, creating mood boards to confidently share to the rest of the team and planning content photography
  • Always staying up to date on current creative trends, photographic styles and be able to advise what is right aesthetic for the brand
  • Fully competent using a DSLR camera and setting up a photographic studio with lighting
  • Support with model casting and planning campaign shoots
  • Assist and attend major location campaign shoots be it as a runner or photographing/videoing models
  • Complete ability for post-production editing with Adobe programs including; Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere Pro etc
  • Manage our database of content on the cloud and approval processes within the team
  • Developing your creative knowledge to keep shoots relevant and aspirational – always up to date on our customers, with a strong overview of fashion, social media and general trends.

What we are looking for:

A confident and successful professional, wanting to pursue a career in fashion. A team player with previous experience in Photography who is extremely creative and has the ability to convey a message through images. This is a fast paced working environment and you must be agile, able to monitor new and emerging trends but come up with new and inspiring ideas to engage and grow our online communities.

  • 3+ years in a similar role / at a similar brand or agency
  • Fashion focused photographer, someone who is into; clothing, sneakers or sustainability
  • Portfolio that demonstrates a good level of ability in product & commercial photography
  • Studio experience in a commercial/ e-commerce studio setting
  • Experience using Lightroom, Nikon/Canon and DJI Technology
  • A good knowledge of digital workflow from camera to post production
  • Good experience using studio lighting techniques
  • A strong interest in all forms of photography
  • Good working knowledge across Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven experience capturing still and moving image content on webs, mobile and social
  • Proven experience of translating, responding to and fulfilling briefs
  • An appreciation of both digital and film photography
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships internally and externally
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and willing to go the extra mile
  • A flexible mindset, someone who can think outside of the box and bring new ideas to the team
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to stay calm, professional and positive in a fast-paced environment
  • A keen approach in using new technologies for developing the website, imagery and general aesthetic
  • Good knowledge of digital cameras and maintenance, manual camera controls and creative photography techniques

Must-haves:

  • Degree-level educated preferably in Photography, Videography or Digital Media
  • Excellent knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient IT skills including the use of; Excel and Pages/Word
  • A portfolio of work to show
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Highly organised and ability to work independently in a high pressure and fast growth environment
  • Team player and desire to succeed with common sense

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working for a fashion brand
  • Knowledge of Adobe creative suite including; Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Experience of planning and assisting on photoshoots
  • Experience photographing similar products for ecommerce
  • Experience in videography
