We are currently looking for a Senior Legal Officer to join our growing team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will work alongside the Head of legal Services to provide in-house legal services relating to property disrepair claims and housing management litigation.

We can offer you a varied role, working closely with internal and external stakeholders in connection with all matters relating to contentious housing management matters focusing on housing condition claims and Money Claims relating to housing conditions and complaints.
Some of the things we are looking for:
Qualified Solicitor or Member of Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent (CILEX)
Knowledge and Experience of defending property disrepairs claims and the relevant pre-action protocols
Knowledge / Experience of drafting relevant documentation in respect of the defence of Housing Management and Disrepair litigation matters
Experience of dealing with local authorities, solicitors, Courts and other relevant stakeholders
Knowledge / Experience of RSH policy and guidance the handling of tenant claims and complaints
Ability to collaboratively engage with all areas of the business and provide appropriate advice and as necessary challenge to senior managers in the pursuit of strategic objectives
A commitment to quality, customer service, best practice and value for money
While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester.
