THE ROLE:


This is an exciting opportunity to join our company as a Product Owner / Delivery Manager. This is a dual role, where the focus will be on ensuring the continued delivery of a quality product, incorporating customer change requests as well as product enhancements.


The role will involve managing the product backlog, feeding in new requirements and prioritising work items for the development team. The Product owner/Delivery manager will act as Scrum master, ensuring the team remains on track and delivers work efficiently and effectively over the course of the development cycle.


The Product Owner/Delivery manager will report directly to the Head of Projects and Products, and will work closely with the Arena Customer Manager.


The successful candidate needs to be driven, confident and able to work independently with excellent presentation and communication skills.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Responsibilities within the role of Product Owner / Delivery Manager will include but will not be limited to:


Product Owner


  • Lead on product design, enhancement, and creation for products within the sector.
  • Write high quality, detailed and specific user stories and requirements for the development team.
  • Play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting work allocated to the sprint.
  • Assess value and prioritize stories, epics, and large features to ensure work focuses on the client/product needs.
  • Work with the Client Manager to elicit business requirements from customers turning them into functional requirements to feed the development team.
  • Provide creative alternatives to technical, delivery, and functional issues encountered with product build.
  • Create high- and low-level product road maps for all sector products.
  • Work with the Head of Projects and Products to implement high quality features, innovation and user interfaces.
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product(s).
  • Work with the Front-End Developer to ensure consistent and feature rich user interfaces are implemented.
  • Research and analyse the market and its potential users to inform future product development.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements such as mobile design, accessibility and browser support are incorporated into the development cycle.
  • Perform regular product QA ensuring developments meet the required needs.
  • Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development.

Delivery Manager


  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure effective project execution.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, monitor their progress, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing between team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work as the scrum master helping the development team with queries, burndowns, and overall efficiency.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery team, ensuring the team maintain up to date tasks and estimates.
  • Carry out regular ‘scrum’ meetings with the development team to ensure development plans are on track.
  • Monitor the output of the development team including rework levels, bugs and estimates vs actuals.
  • Coordinate with the deployment team to ensure successful software installations and smooth transitions for end users.
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas for improvement and best practices for future developments moving forwards.

EXPERIENCE:


  • Product Owner certification
  • Experience of working as a product owner, preferably in a healthtech company
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Possess advanced technical knowledge balanced with commercial acumen
  • Excellent project management skills and demonstrable ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
