Job description

We’re looking to recruit an experienced Product Owner to join our product team, focusing on software solutions for GP Practices and healthcare professionals across the UK.

Home based or hybrid depending on the successful candidates location as we have offices in Dundee (central), Lancashire (Leyland/Chorley) and London (Battersea).

Your work will help the NHS and GP Practices deliver a better service to patients and improve healthcare outcomes across the UK.

Your ideal role?

As a Product Owner you’ll work with external and internal customers and diverse teams across the UK and Egypt (Cairo), comprising Product Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Software Developers and 3rd party partners, focusing on the integration of 3rd party products and solutions into our GP Practice software. You’ll work closely with Product Management throughout the development process and product/feature life cycle, liaising with the customer (internal or external) to understand the requirements and become the subject matter expert.

  • Work closely with the development team to understand and develop new features
  • Create and maintain the product backlog using Scrum methodology and according to business value or ROI
  • Provide vision and direction to the agile development team throughout the project
  • Be responsible for ensuring the feature is development complete and delivered to the customer on time
  • Create requirements, user stories and organise planning and refinements sessions as part of the development cycle.
  • Work across teams to ensure mechanisms for release are in place and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

Who are we’re looking for?

Someone with around 3 years Product Owner experience, ideally within a healthcare, tech or software solutions sector.- A good understanding of software development life cycle, agile process and principles

  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving mind-set
  • A self-sufficient creative thinker with a vision
  • Someone motivated, with a high level of personal integrity and a strong commercial acumen
  • Ideally Degree educated or equivalent
