The Opportunity
The Role & Responsibilities
Shawbrook has been on a transformational journey, making successful changes to many aspects of the bank including the way our teams are organised to build products, our technology stack as well as key capabilities in design, data, and a product-led way of working. As Product Operations Manager, you will be integral to the successful scaling of our Product organisation. You will be working alongside the CPO and other Product Leaders and play a key part in defining and embedding the strategy, operating model and processes for the Product organisation, encompassing the disciplines of Product Management, Experience Design, Business Analysis and Data Analytics.
The key responsibilities of this role involve bridging knowledge and processes across Product teams, embedding an effective Product organisation across Shawbrook, and developing a world-class product tech stack to enable Product teams to effectively create products which meet our customers and colleagues needs.
The Person
Strategy and Communications
- Working with the CPO and across all Product leaders, manage the product roadmaps across all product initiatives.
- Embed the Product culture and ways of working further within Shawbrook by uncovering ways to communicate, educate and inspire colleagues across the organisation.
Knowledge sharing and best practices
- Drive and iteratively improve how the Product organisation facilitates collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Streamline and automate processes by research, discovery and implementation of best practices.
- Help facilitate the scaling of product teams across the bank with consistency and control.
Product tech stack
- Be the point person on Product and Design tooling to ensure the best outcome on product quality based on the cost spent.
- Curation of templates, guidelines, how-to references and resources to maximise efficiency of Product teams.

Experience and Skills – Essential
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills across diverse range of stakeholders to convince, persuade and influence.
- Created and refined processes to get to the right outcomes faster, enabling quick iterations and course correction.
- Operational experience and a track-record of making data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management experience, having the ability to execute on and deliver multiple projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience and Skills – Desirable
- Have been in consulting/strategy and also a product role.
- Good understanding of scaled agile organisation models, in particular implications for Product, Design, Engineering and Delivery roles.
- Experience and good understanding of hypothesis-driven experimentation.
- Fluency with data, experience with SQL to analyse and identify trends and surface insights.
- Been involved with large scale, transformational change in a mid to large organisation, in particular in regulated industries.
