As such we are looking for a superstar Product Manager based in Arundel, working full time.
Product Manager Example Duties:
- Working independently from; but in partnership with the Wicks Farm Production manager; highlight quality issues and identify areas for improvement with harvesting teams.
- Inspect each pallet of soft fruit produced by the farm / supplier to the most up to date Customer Raw Material Specification Completed
- Each load to have QC report completed (Every PO, Variety, pack type and by pallet).
- Once a complete load is inspected each report (by PO and pallet number) should be uploaded to the DPS / ISS QC reporting system (Prophet)
- Any pallets that fail to meet the required specification should be reported to the Wicks Farm Production Manager and recorded on a non-conformance log with details of actions taken.
- The non-conformance log should be reviewed weekly with the DPS Technical Manager, Wicks Farm Production Manager and PM team.
- The non-conformance log should be trended to show any ongoing issues.
- Where temporary specifications may be required clear and concise details should be sent to the DPS Technical Manager for review.
- Each load destined for ISS to have Sensitech Temperature recorders.
- Organize samples and trials for DPS and if required be involved with any trials / sampling of new varieties or packaging with the Wicks Farm Production manager.
- Capture any new varieties of all soft fruit and update the variety master sheet.
- Report back daily to the DPS Commercial, Technical and Product Management team on quality.
- Investigate the reasons and provide a CAP for any pallets rejected or received as poor quality at ISS
- Engage with any customer site visits as required.
- Assist with any site audits as required.
- Manage and monitor on site shelf for all products reporting any failures back to the DPS Technical Manager and Wicks Farm Production Manager
- Report QC results at daily production meeting on site.
- Deliver a 95% accuracy on QA reporting on all berries within a +/- 3% tolerance. Ensure that re-inspection of product that is stored overnight is carried out and any reduction in quality is reported to the Wicks Farm Production Manager
General:
- Project a positive image to colleagues, site workers, customers, and suppliers in all interactions Deputize for your colleague / s at times of absence, holiday etc.
- Ensure regular and ongoing feedback to suppliers and your DPS colleagues on product quality to allow for continuous improvement.
- Effectively liaise and communicate on day-to-day quality issues with the Wicks Farm Production Manager and Farm Team where required.
- Effectively liaise and communicate on day-to-day quality issues with the DPS Commercial, Packaging, Compliance, Technical and Product Management Teams where required.
Operations:
- Report any hygiene, machine, or other site concerns to Wicks Farm Production Manager
- Ensure that the customers required quality standards are understood and effectively maintained and communicated to the Wicks Farm Production Manager
- Through continuous improvement facilitate and support the development of improvement processes to deliver improved KPI performance
