The Product Manager will drive the business strategy and performance plan for the Protection portfolio to optimise commercial and customer outcomes across the Services and Solution contract products.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the production of the Protection Business Plan and Latest Views (GFF), sourcing the relevant inputs from key stakeholders and channels
- Input into the Protection business strategy to meet and exceed the Plan
- Monitoring actual vs Plan P&L performance to highlight areas of opportunity or concern
- Review commercial MI and understand drivers of trends and mix changes across all products and channels, recommending options for course correcting action where needed
- Delivering a logical and cohesive set of customer propositions
What you'll be doing
- Conducting analysis to identify pockets of trapped value and building cross functional teams to unlock value
- Partner across the wider Services and Solutions matrix organisation to optimise investments and coordinate activity to improve both customer and commercial outcomes
- Assist in the development of the campaign calendar across all channels and review campaign performance
- Analyse discount spend for Campaigns & Retention
- Ensuring customer value is monitored across all products and adherence to all regulatory guidelines are maintained
- Deputising for the Commercial Manager as required
- Will involve extensive business partnering across the entire Services and Solutions organisation, creating virtual teams to coordinate Protection activity
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent commercial experience
- Good understanding of the external marketplace and latest consumer trends
- Knowledge of insurance products and associated regulatory rules and principles
- Ability to analyse data sets and extract key information to form clear recommendations and experienced user of MS Excel
- Experience with inputting into commercial business plans
- Experience building relationships with key stakeholders
- Track record of presenting complex information in a clear and concise way to senior stakeholders
- Basic understanding of P&L settlements
