The Role
This role will drive the product requirements and strategy across our product line and ensure Ampere’s position as a leader in Cloud Native CPUs with a differentiated roadmap along with flawless execution.
The CPU Product Manager is a pivotal role within the Products team at Ampere Computing and has business, strategy and product line ownership. The successful candidate will leverage his or her technical and business skills to work with customers to understand requirements, drive inputs into product based on Competition and other metrics, that reflect how customers will perceive the product. The candidate will work with pricing, operations, and sales teams to operationalize the current product offerings, collaborate with engineering to provide guidance and ensure tradeoff decisions are made in the interest of our customers.
We are looking for a dynamic product manager with proven experience in product management, and end-to-end execution who will define, develop, deliver, and maintain CPU's for the Cloud and Edge market. This role is Ideal for a motivated individual possessing a blend of technical skills and business acumen, and excellent communications skills.
What you'll do
- Develop and articulate compelling value propositions that are clear, differentiated, and defensible
- Work with Engineering teams across SW and HW to drive product requirements and execution
- Manage customer messaging and interactions on a weekly basis and drive customer requests and issues with Engineering
- Work with Finance, Operations and Manufacturing to maintain and communicate the day to day product status
- Perform detailed market analysis and competitive landscape assessments supporting product positioning and market entry evaluations
- Responsible for product training to sales and customers
What you'll bring
- 8 years of related experience to include 4+ years of product management experience across large-scale customer-facing products
- Technical understanding of both the CPU and Cloud Infrastructure, CPU Platform, Other HW ingredients, Datacenter benchmarking
- Familiar with server architecture and latest technologies
- Strong analytical skills: ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions across a matrixed organization
- Ability to establish credibility and work with all internal partners to get things done
- Excels in a fast-paced environment, can work independently but also enjoys collaborating
- Intermediate MS Office, JIRA, SharePoint skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceMBA or Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred

Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, stock, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $129,000 and $215,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $143,000 and $238,000. We also offer an annual bonus program tied to internal company goals and annual meritocratic stock awards that enable our employees to participate in the success of the company.
