WHAT TO EXPECT
As our company vision and strategy evolves, so too does the role of the Branded Goods and Licensing department. Our departmental strategy supports the modern luxury positioning of the emerging House of Brands (Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Jaguar) in an appropriate way. This involves the design, creation and delivery of extraordinary lifestyle products, each of which must support the individual brand positioning with product that is exclusive, desirable and created to last; creating compelling story-telling opportunities.
The product team is specifically responsible for bringing to market these compelling product propositions that meet pre-defined commercial and/or brand-enhancing criteria. The team are responsible for working closely with many other stakeholder groups (Design, Purchasing, Operations, Legal and Finance) to ensure alignment of the product proposition; as well as conducting benchmarking and continual analysis of our product and offering alongside other luxury brands; from both automotive and fashion sectors.
The product development team is responsible for managing the development of products from design concepts through to completion ex-factory, at which time our operations team take over to distribute them around the world.
The purpose of this role is specifically to manage all elements of product development for our Branded Goods programme. This is a role that will see the delivery of collections of apparel, luggage, hard goods and technology products each year that align to the House of Brands worlds, supporting product launches as required.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Active participant and key collaborator in the creation of the future collection intent documentation- Strategic commercial price-point planning relating to price sensitivity of key collection items
- Owner of product benchmarking activity – both at a competitor OEM and fashion brand level to ensure our product offering is compelling with appropriate RRPs
- Manage all aspects of the financial budget management and business planning processes for product development, working closely with the finance and purchasing teams
- Delivery of actions & responsibilities within the development process tracked within a system-led product development programme management tool, Wrike
- Manage the legal checkpoints for collection content as required to ensure compliance
- Maintain close working relationship with dedicated lifestyle design team to ensure collaborative delivery of design intent through to production
- Work closely with Purchasing to ensure an appropriate balance of quality, cost and reliability is achieved
- Support all purchasing processes as required relating to each individual product buy e.g. single source deviations, strategic approach documents, supplier performance reviews and tenders
- Support the requirements of the range planning and operations teams with regards to master data completion, compliance certification and material composition as required
- Be willing to create and deliver product presentations as required within Brand Squad, Brand Curation Forum and other senior forums as required
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Understanding & experience of Lifestyle Product Development; apparel, luggage hard goods and technology with a detailed understanding of how products are made- Proven excellent relationship and supplier management skills

- Ability to work as a key stakeholder and influencer in cross functional teams, as well as working autonomously where required
