Function
The role of a Product Consultant is to implement and support of our solutions from pre-sales through to go live and beyond to ensure our clients are making the best use of the functionality available to maximise efficiencies. Time will be a mix of remote and office based working, split between our offices (Sheffield, London, or Dunstable), home working and client sites (based throughout the UK).
A key responsibility of the Product Consultant is to understand the clients’ current and target business processes, then help to refine their requirements and deliver the solution proposition. This will cover a wide range of assignments, including:
Subject Matter Expert in Sopra Banking Software product set, recommending product or business solutions within your discipline
Understand the needs of the client and proactively offer assistance within the scope of the projects, defining and documenting configuration requirements and associated technical solutions
Implement software configuration in line with client requirements, working with senior colleagues, product managers and development teams to deliver solutions and highlight functionality gaps
Consult on underlying data model, with the ability to carry out field mapping activities in relation to external integrations and APIs
Follow defined consultancy methodology ensuring consistency and traceability of approach
Knowledge transfer to both customers and colleagues in order to share product information and best practice
Profile
Desired candidate profile
We are interested in hearing from you if you have a good proportion of the following attributes:
Experience working within a software solutions provider or, in software implementation/upgrade projects, ideally within the Financial Services sector
Good working knowledge of mortgage and savings operations within the UK (origination and servicing), including regulation and best industry business practice
Experience of working on large scale data and systems migration projects
Confidence in a client facing role, including workshop facilitation and undertaking customer demonstrations
Good working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL (Oracle an advantage)
An understanding of APIs, Web services and Cloud technologies
A willingness to learn new skills and keep abreast of advances within the mortgages and savings domain
Ability to deal with complex problems and suggest innovative solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and able to manage own workload and priorities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
