This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong passion for storytelling. You will be responsible for overseeing the editorial and production process, from storylines through to rough cut viewings, working closely with the Series Producer, Script Editors and Production Managers to ensure maximum production value, within budget, to deliver the high standard of editorial that Hollyoaks requires.
Working in rotation with two other Producers you will share line management responsibility for the script and research teams, ensuring regular feedback with members of the team and supporting their development. The role requires someone who can prioritise their workload in an ever-changing environment, you will need to be visible on set, handling any issues that may arise, acting as a point of contact for cast, production and directors.
The ideal candidate must have demonstratable experience in story/drama/script preferably in continuing drama , proven experience as a Producer/Assistant Producer or Associate Producer and can hit the ground running from day one.
It is key that you keep abreast of research, legal and compliance issues, liaising with the relevant departments to ensure they’re implemented in the scripts. An important part of this role includes sourcing and working with new Directors and Writers. The role is full of variety, it can be challenging but the scope, from story genesis through to delivery of final episodes means it is definitely rewarding.
