Job Description:
This is an exciting new position in our company focused on one key component - creativity! We are looking for someone to work part-time with us, flexing their creative ability to create modern marketing content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok, digital marketing materials, and anything else we can creatively produce. This person will be directly involved in both capturing photo and video content from the field, editing photos and videos into attractive marketing content, posting them to social media, and designing E-Newsletters and marketing material for our clients. They will also help us interact with local businesses online and, on occasion, in person. The company can provide a number of tools and resources to assist with this, including camera equipment, GoPros, drones, microphones and other tools needed to make creative content.
The ideal candidate for this position is a creative rockstar, great in a team environment, loves producing great looking media, and making connections with people and businesses. They know how to take amazing photos and videos on their phone or other devices, and can whip up graphics to go along with that content. It's also pretty much a requirement they like memes. They're down with using the equipment we provide, or if they've got their own gear they love to use, we'll even reimburse them for it. They would have the ability to work both in the field, at our office, and even from home after experience is gained.
Duties of a Creative Content Producer
- Capture amazing photos and videos in the field using phones, GoPros, cameras, drones, and other equipment,
- Brainstorm and execute creative social media content strategies that vibe with our company's brand, using modern ideas and trends,
- Craft eye-catching social media posts, including photos, videos, and graphics that grab attention and promote engagement,
- Write engaging and witty captions, hashtags, and CTAs that'll get people talking and keep our brand top-of-mind,
- We like memes - we need a meme machine,
- Keep tabs on social media comments and messages, and respond in a timely and friendly manner that reflects our style,
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to produce awesome digital content, such as blogs, email campaigns, and website updates that align with our brand,
- Stay in the loop with the latest social media trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to make sure we're always ahead of the game,
- Edit photos and videos taken from the field and in our current media database into fun, new content,
- Keep our company's social media profiles on point and up-to-date, including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and LinkedIn.
Job Requirements and Qualifications Must Haves:
- Proficient in taking high quality photos and videos using phones,
- Experience with mobile phone software for photo/video editing
- Capable of posting, navigating, and a solid understanding of social media platforms,
- Minimum Class 7N license (class 5 preferred)
- Own your own cell phone (Reimbursement for expenses to be provided)
- Preference will be given to positive attitude and energy person,
- Love technology and innovation!
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with Graphic Design software on computer (Adobe, Inkscape, or other vector image software),
- Experience with Davinci Resolve (or equivalent),
- Computer skills and navigating cloud-based storage,
- Proficienct communicator in both verbal and written form,
- Website building experience,
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License,
- Not afraid to put yourself on video or photos for promoting the company brand,
- Demonstration of previous work done on social media and photo/video editing an asset.
