Role Purpose:
Digital Business Services (DBS) provides essential support for the bank through operations, technology, key central business services, and our worldwide network of Chief Operating Officers. DBS’s remit includes running customer operations, delivering innovative digital solutions for customers and colleagues, management of risk and controls, bank-wide change, and central services including procurement and real estate management. Our teams play a vital role in driving great experiences for customers and colleagues, and enabling the bank's strategy.
Global Procurement enables businesses and functions to maximize value and minimize risk from HSBC's annual USD15 billion external spend with suppliers. We do this by providing core services designed to help our business partners 'Buy, Pay and Manage' suppliers effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic direction for the procurement Goods and/or Services aligned to the Global Operations Category
- Leading complex sourcing events whichwill deliver increased value for money for HSBC
- Working with stakeholders to effectively manage vendor risk and drive vendor innovation.
- Ensuring maximum contractual protection for the business
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Be able to support, guide and influence a wide range of senior stakeholders
- Perform data analysis and draw useful insights so as to inform important sourcing decisions
- Have experience of leading high value, strategic commercial negotiations
- Strong experience of executing complex sourcing events
- Understand and accurately capture business requests/stakeholder requirementsComprehensive experience of negotiating supplier contracts in challenging supply market environments
- Background in creating robust reports on progress against targets
- Be able to build quality knowledge of a given supply market and produce useful insights, therefore enabling comprehensive Category Plans to be put in place
- Project delivery experience
The base location for this role will be UK based with hybrid working
