Senior Credit Analyst, FI Credit London, England
Job description
Agile Working Options
We love to ask questions, challenge existing ways of working, and always look for ways to simplify things, so we can focus on what matters. We see ourselves as business enablers. We're enthusiastic about our people, and have a huge focus on empowerment, career progression, learning & development and work-life balance.
What you'll be doing
As a member of an encouraging team, you'll work closely with well-regarded Product Partners and Coverage teams to support our clients with new lending and trading propositions. You'll feel empowered to help shape your development and, when you're ready, to make meaningful contributions to regular portfolio monitoring and oversight discussions with our Coverage partners.
In time, you'll collaborate on other FI portfolios, such as Specialist Finance, Securitisation, Banks & Intra-Group, Funds, Sovereigns and Wealth Management. If you're new to some of these sectors, we'll help you to learn how to analyse these captivating industries and make well-reasoned recommendations to senior sanctioners.
Your accountabilities will include:
- Understanding and articulating Sector Strategy and Appetite, Credit Policies and Processes to help effectively manage risks within the portfolio whilst supporting sustainable growth.
- Acting as a trusted business partner who can be a role model across FI Credit and build positive relationships with key partners.
- Taking ownership of data integrity and proactively implementing simplification initiatives.
- Collaborating on other portfolios in our team and contributing to a collegiate and inclusive team culture.
And we understand that traditional working hours don't suit everyone, so you'll have opportunities to undertake your role in an agile and flexible way, for example working non-standard hours or homeworking on a regular basis.
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Comfortable with numerical analysis
- An enthusiastic teammate able to build strong partnerships beyond the team
- Self-motived and a strong willingness to learn.
- A genuine interest in the credit risk assessment of financial institutions
- Some knowledge of the Insurance sector (as well as other sectors in financial institutions) would be a distinct advantage
- An understanding of derivative and lending products would be helpful
In return for bringing us your passion and expertise, you'll enjoy our total dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development. We'll help you perform at your best today, so you can fulfil all your potential in the future.
What can we offer you?
- A Discretionary Performance Share Award
- Generous pension contribution
- 30 Days leave plus bank holidays
- A flexible cash pot (4% of base salary) to spend on benefits
- Private health cover
- Share Schemes
We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit. We support the principles of agile working and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We're an equal opportunity employer and deeply value diversity within our organisation.
