Are you experienced in assisting events organisation? Are you a super organised, brilliant communicator who can juggle conflicting priorities?
We’re looking for an Operations Assistant (Events and Procurement) to provide administrative support to the Operations Directorate, as well as helping the team ensure that our events, including large scale staff conferences run efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 14,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.
Accounting for 62% of the Dogs Trust workforce, the Operations Directorate is responsible for achieving the mission of Dogs Trust through the intake, rehabilitation, and rehoming of dogs. The Directorate is split between four functions: Rehoming Centres, the Contact Centre, a field-based team and a team in the London office. In this role you will play a role in helping us improve the welfare of dogs in our care by assisting our Operations Officers. You’ll support procurement of key equipment for rehoming centres, and provide assistance with supplier relations, working with key stakeholders across the organisation as appropriate.
As a skilled administrator you will also be involved in organising and supporting internal and external meetings, liaising with key stakeholders and providing project support across the Operations team. With previous experience in a team support role, you will have an excellent attention to detail and a methodical and organised approach to your work. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of people at all levels.

Please note this role is being offered as a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months and requires occasional travel and overnight stays.
