Job description

New Road Hotel has 80 contemporary bedrooms including loft rooms with hot tub or jacuzzi, based on its heritage of an old textile warehouse. The décor complements the old with the new, exposed original brickwork with modern feature ensuites. The ground floor is a very open plan “public space” much like those in New York Hotels including a Marco Pierre White Chophouse restaurant, offering small private dining rooms. The hotel has meeting rooms for board meetings and an outdoor roof terrace that can be used for networking events and fitness classes. The style is cool and hip and so is the uniform and working atmosphere! We offer sociable shifts of 15.00pm-23.30pm most days. Good transport links for East London, Elizabeth Line and Essex.

We are looking for a dynamic personality to take on the role of Breakfast Waiter/Waitress. As Breakfast Waiter/Waitress you will lead the breakfast team to deliver the breakfast our guests expect whilst staying at the hotel. You will deliver an outstanding customer experience that is expected at one of the leading hotels in the area.

Ideally you will already have experience within a quality hotel environment within a similar role. A keen interest in food will ensure a deep appreciation and enjoyment of our products which in turn can be delivered to our guests.

A successful candidate will possess the following qualities;

  • Previous experience in Food and Beverage
  • Well presented
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Great communication skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service in all situations

Key Tasks will involve:

- Looking professional, being punctual, polite, courteous and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times.

- Being inspirational, going out of your way to make the guest journey, one they will never forget.

- Being flexible in responsibilities, work as a team deliver inspiration customer service together!

- Be fully conversant with the facilities, services and promotions offered by the hotel and whenever appropriate, offer this information to the guest.
