Process Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer
Vanrath are recruiting for a Process Technician to join our international plastic manufacturing client based in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.
Reporting to the Production Manager you will assist in the daily co-ordination of site reliability improvement initiatives and support improvement within the department.
Duties
· Plan, coordinate and implement the most cost effective and efficient manufacturing methods for production of major sub-assembly components and machines
· Coordinate with, production and quality control to help identify any issues affecting production and establish what fixes are required
· Development of lean manufacturing principles in key areas
· Work alongside the production team to identify skills required from production operators and develop
· Assist with the machine and process training of operators and supervisors as required
· Assist in risk analysis across key assets
· Ensure accurate and timely recording of equipment breakdown / reliability events
Working hours will be Monday – Thursday 8am to 5pm and early Friday finish at 2.30pm. In return you will receive a competitive salary, company benefits and long term career progression opportunities within a world class manufacturing facility.
Criteria
· Degree educated in a relevant Engineering discipline
· 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
· Previous experience of improvement projects in Lean manufacturing tools
