Job description

What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician

You will be taking samples for water and chemical analysis and testing. Carry out general site maintenance which will include checks on mechanical equipment on our sites so that it is kept in full working order and carrying out on-the-spot repairs or remedial works. You may well also have to oversee any contractors who are working on our sites.

  • Base Location: Guildford Sewage Treatment Works, but with daily travel across other sites in the local area
  • Working Pattern or hours: Mon -Fri 7.30 am to 3.36 pm, plus inclusion on ‘Standby Rota’ after training.

What you should bring to the role

  • Ability to work safely, meet the physical demands of the role and ability to undertake manual work.
  • Knowledgeable of the sewage treatment process or water treatment would be desirable but not essential.
  • Mechanical maintenance skills are also desirable.
  • Be a great team player with the ability to work collaboratively and on your own.
  • Have a full valid driving license as you will be required to travel across the Thames Water catchment area.
  • Have good communication and numerical skills.
