Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. As a Process Operator you will safely operate, maintain and continuously improve complex batch or continuous production facility to defined standards in order to meet customer demands, upholding the Johnson Matthey Ethics and Values.
Your responsibilities:
  • Comply with all legislative and non-legislative EHS systems (e.g. COSHH, PTW, Risk Assessment, COMAH, emergency plans, Hazardous Area Classification, Lifesaving policies) and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure that a safe and effective handover is completed.
  • Operate plant to performance targets and undertake appropriate interventions to safely meet production plan requirements in full, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Monitor quality specifications and take appropriate actions to avoid deviations from specifications.
  • Responsible for accurately entering all raw materials and finished product into the appropriate stock control systems.
  • Ensure that all quality analysis schedules are met.
  • Complete routine maintenance activities as required and identified on SOP’s.
  • Carry out or assist the engineering technician in Level 1 breakdown maintenance, investigations and repairs.
Requirements for the role:
  • Experience in similar or other relevant manufacturing role – Essential
  • Competent and able to operate at least one “grade 5” job. (Following initial training) – Essential
  • Excellent understanding of the safety requirements of a complex manufacturing plant with critical raw materials. (Following initial training) – Essential
  • Understanding of Operational Safety Manual (OSM) for the relevant plants. (Following initial training) – Essential
  • Confident in operating computers and use Microsoft Office applications – Essential
  • IOSH Working Safely – Desirable
  • Experience in carrying out Permit to Work – Desirable
Shift Rotation: Starts with 4 nights, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 2 off 2 days, 10 off.
