Baxter, Thetford are searching for committed and motivated Process Operator to support production in the most efficient and effective way. The role is based on days and nights on a rota that runs Monday – Sunday, alternate shifts, 42 hours per week, 06:00-18:00-18:00-06:00. We offer an attractive salary of £26,242.07 whilst training is being completed and after successful completion of training, £27556.40. You will also receive a weekly shift allowance of £105.63 and 23 days annual leave + other attractive benefits.
Main duties & responsibilities
You will be working in Viaflo filling which is a cleanroom environment, operating the viaflo filling machines.
- Comply with EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements. This includes raise EHS observation cards
- Operate within the Baxter documentation procedures (BaxU) and requirements meeting all safety quality and performance guidelines. Completing Batch paperwork in both a timely and accurate manner.
- Identify quality defects and reject them. Escalate issues to the team leader as appropriate
- Role maintains the optimum line performance throughout the shift by adjusting the machine within validated parameters that are critical to quality with complete independence
- Role trains others as required / identified by team leader
- Role plans and executes all the relevant asset maintenance tasks to ensure machine / equipment is available and performance targets are being met.
- Role Troubleshoots when line is not meeting target output.

Role is responsible for Production tooling changes on complex equipment.
Role collaborates with other areas eg Packing and Steri in order to achieve shiftly output - Role initiates problem solving activity with area of responsibility covering Safety, Quality and Performance.
- Role performs Asset Maintenance and some Preventative maintenance activities, interacting with Maintenance accordingly

Role performs daily and weekly cleaning of the equipment and the area
Role is actively involved in improvement programs by both adopting new ways of way and helping to define them -
Role must be able to perform the visual acuity and colour perception tests (Viaflo)
Role requires incumbent to accurately record batch/process information into bespoke batch recording process (EBR) - Role handles and combines variety of raw materials to achieve desired quality solution using manual handling aids
- Role performs sampling and simple testing eg pH sampling and Bioburden collection, critical to quality
Skills and experience required:
- Team player
- Experience working with automated machinery would be preferred

- Manufacturing background/experience in Pharmaceutical/food environment would be essential.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent work experience would be desired but is not essential
- Batch processing experience desired but not essential
- Experience of setting up process equipment independently
- Extensive fault finding experience and able to demonstrate experience of corrective actions
