We are AMS. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients’ recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.

Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.

At present we are looking for a Process Operator to work on our client’s site in Inchinnan on an initial 12-month contract. The role is going to be on a 4 shift rotating pattern (including nights).

Daily duties:

  • A Process Operator will be required to work within strict HS&E guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Maintaining our excellent quality standards and being an integral part of our manufacturing process
  • Working within a cutting-edge manufacturing facility, so basic IT knowledge is essential.
  • Working as part of a team to deliver customer needs in a high-volume environment whilst following processes and procedures to a standard as already defined
  • The Process Operator will be visually inspecting components to a visual standard.
  • Duties also involve loading and unloading various process equipment, eg. vibratory bowls and blasting equipment & feeding back information to Manufacturing Engineer and team.
  • Will be multitasking working in a high volume area

Candidate Requirements:

  • As a Process Operator you will have experience of working in a Manufacturing Environment (ideally working in an operator role within in a volume manufacturing environment with experience of working with Nickel, Titanium and Steel Alloys).
  • Standard Grade Levels 1-3, or equivalent, in English, Maths and a Technical subject are essential (original qualifications must be available for review before any interview)
  • Understand how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the workplace and how to work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings/manufacturing instructions would be desirable
  • An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures
  • Aerospace background desirable
