JOB DESCRIPTION
Regeneron, located in Tarrytown, NY is seeking a Process Development Engineer I to support technology transfer and business operations in the Technology Transfer & Logistics (TT&L) group within Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development. This individual will lead production process transfer to support preclinical and clinical manufacturing at internal and external sites, as well as manage and coordinate a wide variety of departmental business operations.
A TYPICAL DAY IN THIS ROLE MIGHT LOOK LIKE:
- Lead multi-functional teams to complete process transfer and establishment of production processes at internal and external clinical manufacturing facilities. Work to ensure the successful start-up of manufacturing production campaigns. Drive team cooperation to facilitate resolution of multi-functional issues and/or provide value-adding solutions.
- Ensure effective, accurate and timely communication across functional areas and within project/program teams. Serve as a primary contact for management within and outside team regarding progress on project/program goals. Communicate effectively with all functions and levels within the organization and exemplify proven interpersonal skills with customer focus.
- Build and maintain detailed timelines for development and transfer activities
- Ensure official process related documentation is generated, reviewed, and delivered through quality systems in a timely fashion.
- Anticipate and address issues in manufacturing related to process, documentation, or training and assist in the management and implementation of process changes and operational improvements at the manufacturing site
- Lead recurring and ad-hoc technical teams to solve technical issues, implement new technologies, systems, or tools, and/or brainstorm and implement improved business processes and workflows.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts where applicable to streamline and maintain departmental process logistics, systems and tools, and/or reference materials and guides. Set up systems and processes to ensure exceptional service for all partners across projects, programs, and/or initiatives.

- You have prior experience in synthetic chemistry or conjugation process development
This position requires a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in either Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related field, with with an interest in Operations, Project Management, and Business, with 3-5+ years of work experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Strong customer focus and orientation needed. Must possess a good ability to facilitate team collaboration and design effective business processes. Ability to promote teamwork and the exchange of ideas and information in all directions preferred. You should possess a good knowledge of research principles, theories, design and implementation. Prior experience or knowledge of synthetic chemistry or conjugation process development is preferred.
