Position Summary
The selected applicant will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of Continuous Improvement projects by demonstrating effective leadership and the ability to direct large project teams comprised of experienced associates from multiple disciplines.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, Kizan principles, Plan, Do, Check, Act principles, Kaizen, and Lean concepts.
- Must process demonstrated analytical abilities and be able to develop logical solutions to opportunities as they develop.
- Ability to maintain focus and direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Must be proven team player that utilizes coaching and company values to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Proficiency in MS office Software
- Proficiency in MS Project or similar software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be available days, nights, and weekends as required by business needs
- Engineering knowledge such as process validation, process flows and layouts, statistical process control, and cost benefit analysis
- Technical Management skills
- Ability to be a productive team member in both formal and informal settings while developing team creativity and innovation
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bias for change and action.
- Limited travel
- Experience in food processing, food safety equipment or related manufacturing environment, Food safety equipment.
- Leadership experience
- Project management certifications a plus
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Required Education and Experience
- Degreed individual a plus
- Lean training preferred.
- 5-7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
