The Estée Lauder Companies is currently seeking a Process Engineer to join an experienced and committed team at The Estee Lauder Companies - Whitman where as a team we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output. The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment as a production-based engineer. We are based in Petersfield, Hampshire.

About the Role:
We would love for you to come and join the Estée Lauder family, where the primary role of this position is to participate in the collective departmental aim of introducing products on a timely basis, in accordance with cost, efficiency and quality objectives. The Process Engineer here at Whitman is a production-based engineer in a manufacturing environment. You will also be willing to maintain a focus on analysing performance and identifying opportunities, with the aim of reducing process variation, improving process capabilities and optimising process performance.
Key Responsibilities and process workload includes:
- Work with the plant management to identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Evaluate and analyse current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
- Analyse and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities, and optimize process performance.
- Carry out Site Value Analysis - Ongoing strategic evaluation of the existing product portfolio with the objective of optimising profitability through product modification, supply base management/alignment, and Supply Chain Methods improvement.
- Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
- Facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.
- Develop standard procedures and policies to be followed by the Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
- Work with various teams to reduce process and business variations.
- Assist Managers in the specification and management of capital projects.
- Prepare project presentations for management when needed.
- Review and update business procedures and documents based on project requirements.
Qualifications
Characteristics of a successful candidate:
- Minimum HND but preferably Bachelor Degree Standard, ideally in Mechanical Engineering but other sciences would be considered.
- Experience in cosmetic manufacture and packaging.
- Experience of an FMCG environment incorporating an understanding of packaging equipment and efficient working practices.
- Moderate to high level of computer literacy, specifically MS Office.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines under pressure and to strict timelines.
- Six Sigma experience an advantage.
- SAP (ECC) experience an advantage
- Role is predominantly office based, with close interaction with all aspects of the operational areas.
