Job description
Due to continued growth the position of Chief Process Engineer has become available to join our successful team based in Aberdeen.
Costain plays a significant role in transitioning the UK economy to Net Zero by 2050. Our Energy Sector supports energy transition through existing asset efficiency and life extension, whilst we lead the decarbonisation of the UK’s energy infrastructure. Covering the full project lifecycle from Feasibility through to Decommissioning, we are looking for Chief Process Engineer with experience in the Oil & Gas who wants to play a key part in our Energy Transition journey.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week required at our Aberdeen base..

Role Requirements
- Degree qualified and chartered status
- Technical Lead focused on Energy Transition supporting the development of Hydrogen and Carbon Capture and Storage activities
- Engaging with key clients in the sector to support the development of Net Zero Energy Systems through Technical Advisory and Project Management.
- 10 years of experience in design, commissioning and operational roles in the oil and gas, and chemicals.
- Skilled in both Greenfield and Brownfield projects, ranging from small modifications to large-scale developments from concept evaluation and selection to FEED and detailed design.
- Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive
- Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
- Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
