PRODUCTION OPERATIVES (Food Manufacturing)
**IMMEDIATE STARTS**
· As an operative you will be producing ready to cook meals, kebabs and BBQ products for high end retailers.
· You’ll be working on the production lines to make large batches of products which will then be sold and distributed to our extensive customer base.
What might I be doing?
There are lots of different product we produce here on site, what you’ll be doing could vary, but is likely to include some or all of the following:
- Preparing and skewering kebab/BBQ – goal 3 kebabs per minute
- Accurately weighing out raw materials
- Using modern machinery and technology throughout the process
- Ensuring packs meet the product specification
- Complying with health and safety standards on site
- Working on different areas of production including final pack
- Ensuring base labels are correctly aligned on packs
- Packing products
- Reworking products when necessary you’ll need to be able to read and understand instructions and also have a decent level of arithmetic so you can calculate weights and measures, raw materials.
We have the following shifts:
- Flexible Shift Pattern - Hours: 6AM-6PM
What about the pay?
£10.52 per hour after that there are numerous courses that you can take which will enable you to excel at your work – for instance, HACCP, Food safety Level 3 – these short courses provide an ideal starting point to enhance your qualifications and skills levels.
