Job description
As a Full-Time Specialist in the Field of Process Engineering, your primary responsibilities will include managing, planning, and enhancing production methods and processes. You will be an active participant in cross-functional teams representing manufacturing engineering throughout the design and development process. Additionally, you will collaborate with fellow colleagues in various engineering functions, production, research, marketing, and after-sales service.
The following are the responsibilities that come with this position:
Examine equipment, processes, operations, and assembly procedures to identify potential revisions in time or quality, and suggest improvements.
Monitor operations standards and implement changes. Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.
Select appropriate manufacturing processes and apply modern organizational principles to produce products at a competitive cost.
Optimize current and new manufacturing processes using continuous improvement techniques.
Develop a system for fabricating parts and assemblies.
Conduct Capability Studies and Time Studies.
Develop processes, including Visual Work Instructions.
Provide shop support and troubleshoot processes.
Reduce costs (scrap, rework, cycle time, etc.).
Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Coordinate projects and troubleshoot on a daily basis.
Participate in Kaizen events.
The following qualifications are required for this position:
A BS in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or related combined experience.
2-4 years of engineering project experience in a metal manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques, Capability Studies, Process Mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
Must be able to take a lead role in projects and be comfortable in a fast-paced continuous improvement environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks with aggressive deadlines.
Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office.
Strongly preferred experience in Pro-E & Auto Cad.
