Job summary
The Transport Projects team have embarked on the delivery of Public Realm improvement and Active Travel schemes for the Island community and are seeking a Technical Support Officer to help to deliver these exciting projects.
The Technical Support Officer will use their strong organisational skills to help the Transport Projects Team deliver a wide variety of schemes that will improve the quality of our streets and public spaces.
Working closely and collaboratively with a small team on a range of diverse projects, this role will give the candidate an opportunity to develop a range of skills and progress their career in a friendly and motivating environment.
If you are a well organised team player who can equally work self-sufficiently you will be well valued member of the small Transport Projects team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software is essential and experience in capturing, storing, extracting, and collating technical data would be valuable. Some financial awareness and experience is also required as the role involves support for procurement and project budget reporting.
Previous experience of working in a Government of Jersey would be desirable, as proficiency in the role requires a strong understanding of government processes and stakeholder engagement, however it’s not essential as appropriate training will be provided.
