Job description
We are seeking a highly organised PA to support a busy family with the day-to-day running and administration of their lives, allowing them to free up their time to spend with their daughter and other commitments. Ideally, the successful candidate will have prior experience as a PA. Taking on important responsibilities such as organising bank payments you will be fully exposed to the client’s financial details, so integrity and trust is key. You must have a track record of being discrete.
In return, this is a unique role allowing a great deal of flexibility, working a total of 2-3 days per week which can generally fit around your other commitments. The role will be mainly remote working, with attendance at the family homes in London, Wiltshire and Dorset as required. There are no set times expected in each location, but you must have the flexibility to accommodate the visits when required. This is also a role where the client would like to build a long relationship.
The client is open to candidates' specific requirements around their part-time hours and whether the candidates want to work full days or spread the working hours over the week. They anticipate 2/3 days per week of work and will agree a fixed schedule with the successful candidate for stability. This is a great opportunity to work with a lovely family while offering you the ability to work around other commitments. Salary pro rata and based depending on experience.
The scope of this role is varied and not limited to the following:
- Managing household bills
- Arranging international bank transactions
- Organising receipts and administration and liaising with the accountants to prepare taxes
- Coordinating contractors and repairs at family homes in London, Wiltshire, and Dorset
- Liaising with house staff and gardeners over general maintenance of properties
- Research personal trips and holidays
- Liaise with business PA regarding availability and scheduling including business and school events
- Ad hoc research for anything from recipes and restaurants to personal trips and holidays
- Managing travel arrangements including flights, accommodation and transport
- Occasionally run errands in London (shipping and collection of items etc.)
- Manage home and vehicles and insurance
- Sourcing gifts
- Organising events
- Ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a PA, Business Manager or Estate Manager
- Demonstrated track record of handling confidential information
- Ability to work flexibly and autonomously
- Good communication skills
- Discrete, professional and responsible
- High attention to detail
- Strong integrity and discretion is essential
- Problem-solving skills and ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
