Private Banker
Birmingham
This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
As a Barclays Private Banker, you will identify potential new clients and work with them to build relationships with the goal of managing their wealth. The target population for this role is Ultra High Net worth clients and Family Offices. You will have an established and proven network of contacts across Emerging Markets and would actively leverage that to develop the Private Bank’s UHNW penetration into this market.

• Providing clients with world class financial solutions
- Discussing markets, their issues and opportunities with clients
- Fully utilise the banker toolset, systems and platforms and challenge current standards to continuously improve quality
- Engage with digital technologies, products and solutions that are relevant to the Wealth business, and have the ability to use them to enhance the service provided to clients
- Delivering high quality bespoke advice, maximising value for our clients and negotiate the best commercial outcome
- Display a constructive approach with the ability to relate to and accommodate a diverse range of personalities
• Excellent relationship skills with experience of managing and handling the needs of individuals and families
- Effective in gaining an in-depth understanding of client’s needs
- Experience in controlling and monitoring of risk within a client book
• High aptitude and understanding of the digital landscape
- Excellent market exposure and multi-disciplined private banking expertise
- Prior experience of Business development
- Good management skills and experience of influencing others
Where will you be working?
Barclays Snowhill is at the heart of the professional district and commands a workforce of around 1000. With great transport links to Birmingham Grand Central and Snowhill train stations as well as the local metro. Our office has a dedicated staff coffee shop and deli and break out areas for staff. There is also a presentation theatre for client and staff events. Our office boasts a great working environment as well as opportunities to network across the city.
