About the role
Privacy Ops at Deliveroo is responsible for the timely delivery of the privacy ops strategic objectives as set out in the Data Protection Team's Annual Strategy. We design and build innovative processes which underpin Deliveroo's global data privacy programme and compliance framework. This work is vital in ensuring that Deliveroo's privacy programme can continue to operate effectively and respond quickly to a world of complex and ever-changing privacy demands. This role reports directly to the Head of Privacy Operations, sits within the Data Protection team and has a global reach.

What you'll be doing
Responsibility for the successful project management of high quality privacy ops projects, to support the delivery of privacy compliance and privacy operational excellence across Deliveroo
Planning and designing programmes of work, and proactively monitoring their execution, programme coordination and managing interdependencies, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
Producing programme reports and stakeholder communication.
Using privacy knowledge to scope new projects plans and identify gaps
Taking ownership of cross-functional projects, doing the initial scoping to work through potentially ambiguous problem statements and determine next steps
Collecting and analysing information from multiple teams in order to analyse complex issues, mitigate risks and solve problems
Designing the right cadence of meeting forums and reporting to ensure that the teams are held accountable for their business metrics, key initiatives and goals, and that this information is shared efficiently within the team
Anticipating any project bottlenecks and escalating any project risks
Spotting opportunities for different teams to partner more closely together or de-duplicate efforts, ensuring that we do not operate in silos
Project managing reactive ops projects and delivering privacy compliance remediation
Building strong relationships within the wider Data Protection team, Tech, Privacy Legal, InfoSec, Employment Legal, Data Management, Engineering and other business teams

The successful applicant will be a self-starter and a strong performer and team player who is focussed on successfully delivering projects for the Data Protection team. We are specifically looking for:
Highly proficient at problem solving as the role will require being able to see the big picture, break a problem up into its component parts
Demonstrable project management, organisational and time management skills, while managing competing priorities
Demonstrable data analytical skills and the ability to work with attention to detail, maintaining a high bar of consistency, accuracy, and quality
Prior knowledge of DPA, GDPR and future legislation around data privacy, is desirable
Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university, preferably in a technology, project management, business management, legal, compliance, risk management or security related field
Minimum 4 years experience in programme management roles within the tech or professional services industries in the area of data privacy, compliance, risk management, and security
Experience in developing roadmaps, project planning and project register management
(Strongly preferred) Project management experience on multiple large-scale projects and programmes that impact the organisations trajectory with a track record of delivering business value
(Strongly preferred) Experience working in a tech company
(Strongly preferred) Project management qualification, such as PRINCE2
(Desirable) Demonstrable attention to detail in executing and reviewing tech products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted time frame
(Desirable) Industry certifications relating to security, privacy, and risk management, such as International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) CIPP/E and/or CIPM certifications or security certifications, such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, CRISC
