We are looking for a Prison Librarian to oversee the two prison libraries at HMP Rochester and HMYOI Cookham Wood. You will develop, manage and promote a high quality prison library service in accordance with the appropriate local policy and central government guidelines.

You will also lead on the development of a specific service, identifying and providing for the needs of customers by developing existing services and establishing new initiatives in line with overall objectives.

Responsibilities include undertaking line management responsibilities for library/archivist staff to ensure their development needs are identified and met, manage and monitor the relevant library service budget. Ensure that stock is maintained in good condition and managed in accordance with the relevant standards and provide an efficient information service to all customers.
