This position is to assist and support the Print Team processes and ways of working that contribute to the continuous improvement in quality and consistency of ASDA Own-brand Printed Packaging. The role is to ensure smooth flow of information between process stakeholders (internal clients/external suppliers) within predetermined timescales in this incredibly fast moving and ever-changing environment.
What you'll do
- Responsible for producing Print/Brand documentation and guidelines, using Adobe CS software.
- Work proactively with Print Management Team to ensure all Print Management Assets are collected, collated, built, archived, and communicated in-line with the Packaging Design Change Process.
- Provide Design, Image changes and Artwork using Adobe CS software.
- Produce Print Development data and proofs as directed by Packaging Print Specialist
- Act as a ‘Communication champion' – maintain and develop best practice for communicating print team assets.
- Support Colour Management Program – working with market leading Cloud based solution and hardware. Understanding supporting hardware and software to superuser standard.
- Manage the Print Team shared email and calendar.
- Provide administrative support which drives continuous improvement and simplification of team processes.
- Support the utilisation and integration of technology for smarter working.
How you'll do it
Knowledge.
This is a junior role requiring you to build on and develop your existing experience and knowledge gained within either an agency, in-house or print production environment or associated degree course.
Communicating and influencing.
Customer focussed and a proven team player, you will show initiative, be keen to take on responsibility and able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Your primary stakeholders will be within the Design Change Process with guidance provided on style and levels of communication as you grow into role.
Freedom to Think and Act.
You will possess a keen eye for detail, be highly organised, you will demonstrate excellent time-management, and organisational skills. Your work will be supervised but as you gain experience you will be given additional responsibilities and stretch projects.
Experience.
Experienced in using Adobe CS (Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign) is essential and MS Office would be an advantage coupled with an understanding of the Artwork implementation process for Packaging – Design through to Print.
