The Role

As a Large Format Print Operator you will be responsible for performing large printing projects for our outdoor advertising projects. You will be a part of the 360-cycle print process from supporting wand assisting with artwork creation, right through to the final stage of printing the banner. You will be expected to have the ability to undertake works with a HP Latex Machine, which includes SAV, as well as laminating.

Duties include:

  • You will be responsible for digital printing for all adverts. This covers all stages of the process for both print and digital, and extensive knowledge of operating HO Scitex and HP latex printers.
  • Ability to undertake works with a HP Latex Machine, which includes SAV, as well as laminating.
  • Assisting with general large format print finishing experience.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work in a team and as an individual.
  • You will be responsible to organise and schedule incoming works, meet time scales and tight deadlines, and ensue this is regularly met and adhered to.
  • You will be expected to apply logic and reasoning, in order to identify solutions to problems and ensure any complications or issues are rectified efficiently and effectively.
  • You be expected to be flexible with your working patterns and shifts, i.e start and finish time, to match customer requirements.
  • Assist other departments with ad-hoc duties, as and when required.
  • Undertake regular onsite training or external training courses, in order to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

Key Skills

  • Previous experience in printing and media production
  • RIP experience - preferably caldera
  • Ability to multitask various projects at any one time
  • Adobe and Illustrator experience would be an advantage
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great time management skills
  • Positive attitude and take pride in their work
  • Literate to operate a smartphone

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
