Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Print Designer to join our Design team in Bourne, Lincolnshire. This is a temporary role to cover maternity leave, working 3 days per week.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Print Designer who is seeking an opportunity to progress within their career. In this role you will be managing a Junior Print Designer and will be responsible for all aspects of the Print Design process, aligning with our critical path.
All About You
We are looking for someone who is astutely aware of the external market and who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of our competitors. You will be meticulous in your approach to attention to detail and have the ability to work efficiently with suppliers to deliver seasonal ranges. The Design team is dynamic and supportive so you will thrive in working collaboratively as part of the team and also across other functions such as Creative, Marketing, Merchandising and Finance. You will have a positive approach to your job with excellent time management skills.
As you will have line management responsibility as part of this role, you will be naturally encouraging and supportive of personal development and always lead by example.
Key Responsibilities
· Management of Junior Print Designer.
· Weekly supplier meetings with key suppliers.
· Briefing of artwork to suppliers.
· Working in line with the Critical Path set out by the business.
· Print Design and idea generation for each season.
· Re-colouring of archive designs and prints.
· Working closely with the Creative & Merchandising teams.
· Refreshing existing prints and rejuvenating all print-based items of the range.
· Managing external partner relationships every season.
· Working closely with Creative to communicate on samples and in line with their shoot plans.
Experience, Requirements & Attributes
· Proven and strong background within Print Design.
· Must be highly proficient in ADOBE (Suite): Illustrator, In-Design and Photoshop’
· Demonstrate strong understanding of our brand and customer.
· Strong eye for colour
· Excellent team player and interpersonal skills.
· Fantastic organisation skills.
· Ability to prioritise workload
· A background in Graphic Design and/or Product Design is desirable.
· A genuine interest in lifestyle, homewares and interiors is an advantage.
· The successful candidate must have Right to Work in the UK.
