Job Title: Talent Assistant Manager

Grade: Assistant Manager ( D2 )
The role of the Talent team is to support the Firm's ambition to be a Magnet for Talent, we are looking for an Talent Assistant Manager to be responsible for the delivery of some of our key talent projects and implement strategies that will help us develop and retain our talent.
As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the BAU promotions process which happens biannually for D-B grades and annually for Director. The promotions process is one of the most complex and high-profile processes delivered by the People function. You will also provide support to the Promotions Manager on the annual promotions process for Associate Partner and Partner promotions and work closely together to identify and implement improvements to the promotions process.
The role holder will work closely with the HRBPs, HR Leads, CoEs and wider business contacts such as Finance and Immigration.
There will also be opportunities to support our Career Development priorities, working with the wider Talent and PD team to support the Firm's vision in providing promising futures and by being the clear choice for colleagues through education, expertise and navigation in the space of career management and career development.
Responsibilities:
For BAU Promotions - project manage and deliver the end to end BAU promotions process. Requiring full stakeholder management, oversight and consultation throughout to ensure the delivery of the firmwide promotions process runs in accordance with the agreed timelines.
You will be the go-to point of contact for the Promotions Taskforce and wider people function for all aspects relating to D-A promotions, dealing with issues and queries in a timely manner.
You will work with the Promotions Taskforce and CoEs, to collaboratively drive engagement with a large, diverse population of internal and client facing staff based across multiple locations.
Understanding the needs of colleagues, clarifying solutions and engaging with senior stakeholders, SMEs to design and deliver wider Talent & PD activities for colleagues across the UK Firm.
Develop expert knowledge and understanding of talent management best practices and external insights that will help us shape our talent and PD solutions.

Skills/Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the firmwide promotions process is desirable
- Proven large scale project management skills
- Ability to take the initiative, forward plan and find pragmatic solutions
- Have strong internal networks and the ability to build relationships/networks quickly
- Strong drive and resilience and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal skills combined with strong presentation skills Flexible, consultative communications approach
- Must be professional and discrete
