The product development function is a newly formed team that services the Custody, Network and Tax businesses. We are building an agile-centric culture that places the customers’ needs at the heart of our development process. We value rapid and controlled delivery of business value through partnerships with technology and operations, with the product owner at the core.
Within the Custody Tax Product Development team we are looking for candidates with Custody experience to support a number of key Strategic Tax Initiatives.
- Build strong subject matter expertise and knowledge of the Custody Tax Product Development Team.
- Have a very good understanding and prior experience of the business analysis role in financial services projects
- Display strong documentation skills and the ability to articulate target operating models, requirements (mainly through user stories) and user acceptance criteria
- Have experience of Functional testing of IT deliverable as per the documented specification
- The ability to act as the bridge between Technology, Product, Operations and other SMEs
- Expect to use data to make, justify and measure investment
- Support the team lead and prioritise and manage the product backlog, dealing with complex and often competing priorities and stakeholders
- Bring enthusiasm, drive and energy to the product development process
- Consider the required operating model and path to implementation to realise the Tax product roadmap
- Play a key role in the client and business outcomes, with clear articulation of the business value
- Express outcomes and priorities on a product roadmap that articulates progress of the product over time
- Be fluent in agile working, helping to expand the adoption of end-to-end agile working in partnership with IT
- Be able to define the required business architecture to support the product vision and work with IT and SCRUM teams to achieve
- Take a hands-on approach to directing SCRUM teams and participating in agile ceremonies
- Evaluate the product at each sprint to ensure client and firm commitments are met
- Expect to work in a rapid, high paced environment with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Sufficient experience in tax product-based roles in complex, enterprise environments
- Strong project management and execution capabilities
- Domain knowledge of asset management, trade life cycle, and asset servicing
- Experience of applying agile principles and approaches to traditional environments with challenges in legacy technology and processes
- Experience of agile tools (e.g. JIRA) and methodologies
- Experience of contributing to the tax product development lifecycle, from concept and client need through to execution and benefit realisation
- Experienced in working with business and technology architecture. Able to explain strategic concepts to audiences
- Comfortable with corporate governance and reporting
- Preferred: Domain knowledge of custody/securities processing or related capabilities
