This a key opportunity to join a close-knit education team within a local Caerphilly Primary school, which is looking to invest in its ever-growing team. With one-to-one and general TA positions available from Foundation Phase to Key Stage two. Alternative full or part-time hours are available with immediate starts available for suitable candidates

Overview:

● Title: Teaching Assistant

● Pay: £76.00 - £85.00 per day minimum

● Location: Caerphilly

● Hours: Long Term - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 15:30/Adhoc opportunities

The role: What you’ll be doing as a Teaching Assistant

● Supporting and supervising educational games, sports and craft activities ● Helping children with their reading

● Preparing the classroom for a lesson

● Working with pupils in small groups/ and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs

● Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons

● Assist pupils at break time with their lunch

● Engage pupils in the classroom and out of classroom activities ● Work in accordance to the schools behaviour management policies

The candidate: What you’ll need to be successful as a Teaching Assistant

● At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial ● Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this

● References covering the last two years (no gaps)

● Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one

● The right to work in the UK

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20-32 per week

Salary: £76.00-£85.00 per day
