Are you an experienced band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist looking to become part of a multidisciplinary therapy team for a SEND school trust?
Do you have a strong paediatric SaLT background and passion for paediatric support?
I am looking for a band 6/7 SaLT to become part of a permanent multidisciplinary therapy team based at a small SEN primary school in SW London.
About the role of Primary School Speech and Language Therapist
The Speech and Language therapy teams form part of a multi-disciplinary team to drive forward programmes of development and rehabilitation.
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass Speech and Language Therapy assessments, treatment and management of needs extended to life outside of school. You will assess, implement and develop treatment programmes according to diagnosis and identified needs.
The school is a small primary SEN school for Autism in SW London. They are expanding their therapy team and looking to appoint an additional SaLT. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a Senior SaLT, Senior OT, OT and therapy assistants.
Candidate should be/have:
- A registered Speech and Language Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) or registration in process.
- Paediatric experience.
- A passion to work in Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy.
- An understanding of Speech and Language Therapy process/interventions/assessments.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
- Resilience and an ability to manage difficult situations.
