Job description

The role will be responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders for facilities management services, in a consistent and standardised manner in line with the company’s commercial policy and business objectives. Working individually and as part of a team for larger tenders as required. The person will be focused, commercially astute with a keen eye for detail. You must have the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload effectively, ensuring deadlines are met.

This is a home-based role.

Other Responsibilities will include:

  • The role will be responsible for reviewing client information and preparing accurate cost estimates reflecting customer requirements and service specifications,
  • A key requirement of the role will be initially reviewing and analysing bid documents to identify pricing requirements, assess data gaps, and raise appropriate clarifications.
  • Identify commercial issues that may impact pricing and the bid as a whole.
  • You will need to be adept at manipulating large quantities of data.
  • Utilise existing company excel pricing models to estimate the tender price for facilities management services and where appropriate, develop additional bespoke analysis to produce the tender price for the bid response.
  • Completion of compliant client tender documentation for submission.
  • You will be the owner of all cost and pricing information for the bids you support.
  • Employ company benchmarking constructively.
  • Manage and interrogate subcontractor quotations.
  • Contributing to ad hoc project work as required, such as analysis of data and trends.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Higher education to degree level preferred or proven experience.
  • Soft FM experience essential.
  • Ideally you will be experienced in public sector procurement, with experience of Crown Commercial Services Framework an advantage.
  • Experience of financial statements and detailed labour costing and analysis preferred.
  • Experience of using Excel to manipulate large volumes of data and transforming this into meaningful information.
